Not just in Fairfax and Montgomery Counties but a Nationwide Summer Event Will Put Spotlight on Home Ownership this coming weekend. The 2011 REALTOR® Nationwide Open House will be held on the weekend of, June 4-5, 2011. This event, which began on a local level a few years ago, is a weekend when REALTORS® across the country—and across the globe—are invited to hold open houses in their area. It is designed to drive buyers’ attention and interest to homes for sale and offers opportunities to educate the public about the benefits of home ownership.

I have several worthy listings but this Sunday, June 5′th I’ll be holding open Cunningham Drive – a beautiful Contemporary single family waterfront home in Alexandria’s Mt Vernon in Fairfax County Virginia. Why did I select this one? The subdivision of Wessynton is mostly unknown. When people visit the community I commonly hear, “I never knew this was hidden here”. There are several homes for sale and a half dozen listing agents with a variety of Brokers are coordinating a community open house to bring awareness of this wonderful and unique subdivision to area home buyers.
